With State and Federal governments taking dramatic steps in reducing non-essential business, it is more important than ever to care about your own health and wellbeing.

In these highly unpredictable and unprecedented times, it is essential to keep safe.  As our health professionals keep telling us, the key to ‘flattening the curve’ is to maintain social distancing as well as restricting unnecessary travel, especially on public transport.  Not since the outbreak of the World War II has there been such strong restrictions on travel, not only internationally but also for people within their own communities.  Unfortunately for many people, this puts considerable pressure on their daily lives, and limits their ability to attain everyday essentials, including access to medicine.

Luckily, we are fortunate to live in a time where there are technologies available to allow patients to still access medical professionals without leaving the comfort of their own homes.

With many Cannadoc clients being immune compromised, Telehealth is a key part of services offered by our medical team, and not just during the COVID-19 Crisis.  Telehealth services are open to existing Cannadoc clients as well as new patients.  The service is easy to use with only an internet connection and phone/computer required.  Simply get in touch with the team to discuss the options to review treatment plans or update your prescription requirements.

Please keep in mind your mental health at these trying times. Having a busy mind or doing activities that require concentration, reduce the time available to have anxious thoughts. It is difficult to avoid talk of the Coronavirus with everyone from the cashier to the media talking about it but remember to take time to be thankful and mindful every day to help your stress levels.  Continue with hobbies and keep in touch with friends and family wherever possible.  As with any other times of stress, speaking with your health practitioner early the key to getting the best support.  The team at Cannadoc are well trained in assisting with stress and anxiety if you feel like you need someone to talk to.

As always, the health of our patients is paramount.  Stay home, keep safe, and take care of yourself.
